MULTIPLEMEDIUMS, LLC was launched into what it is today with BAD DADDY RATTLES, an Eco friendly and modern rattle. We realized there was a huge demand for non-toxic, natural wooden products for children. When a parent buys an item for their child, it's rare that they don't have to worry about lead based paint or whether or not the product is BPA free as with so many plastic products. Also, buying products that are natural and safe is wonderful for children and great for the planet! Finally, in supporting our products, you also support local artists. We take pride in our handmade rattles because they are designed and constructed with care and attention to detail. Each rattle will become a wonderful keepsake that will last a lifetime or may even be saved to pass down to the next generation! Our rattles have become a hit in stores as well as with individuals who have welcomed them into their homes. Our rattles are an easy product to love because they cover so many great bases: they’re handmade locally in Louisville, KY, they’re pleasing to the eye and ear, they’re safe to use passing the US and European safety standards, and they’re reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?
BAD DADDY RATTLE - Walnut |
|
$ 14 USD
High-quality Walnut wood has a warm, rich appearance, and the wide variety of grain patterns and figuring make each one unique. The heartwood ranges from a deep, rich dark brown to a purplish black. Sapwood is nearly white to tan. We use walnut because it’s moderately dense, very strong, and has good shock resistance for teething babies. Plus, it’s beautiful!

BAD DADDY RATTLE - Cherry |

$ 14 USDCherry wood is light, strong, stiff and hard. Cherry's grain is more subdued than some other hardwood species, with very interesting character. The wood from the cherry tree can be described in a single word: gorgeous! Its rich red-brown color deepens with age. Small dark gum flecks add to its interest. Distinctive, unique figures and grains are brought out through quarter sawing. It has an exceptionally lustrous appearance that seems to glow.

BAD DADDY RATTLE - Maple |
|
$ 14 USD
Maple is a close-grain, very hard, fine-textured, tough and strong wood. The heartwood is a light brown color while the sapwood even lighter. The grain figure is subdued but beautiful and quite uniform. Maple has no competition or equal, especially the curly and the bird's-eye maples which we love to get our hands on.

BAD DADDY RATTLE - Osage Orange |
|
$ 14 USD
Osage-orange is the most dense and most decay resistant wood in North America. Its wood, dead or alive, seems almost impervious to all fungi that will attack it. This is why it is a perfect wood for teething rattles due to how much time it may spend in a saliva-filled mouth! Few dead woods maintain that property. The rings alternate from bright yellow to a darker brown, making each rattle have a unique look that you won’t mistake for other common woods.
